The P&C would like to thank all our amazing Ellison families and community that has supported our fundraising efforts this year. Thank you to the businesses that supported our events when we asked for sponsorship, and also to the volunteers who have helped us run these events as we couldn’t do it without you.
In 2019 we contributed $34,000 for the purchase of new interactive smartboards for our classrooms. This was made possible following the successful movie night we held in Term 3, as well as the Colour Explosion Walkathon we held in 2018. All classrooms now have these new projectors and screens.
Other contributions the P&C made in 2019 include the purchase of an additional set of resources for the Learning Support Team; support of our School’s entry into Operation Art; the Welcome BBQ held in Term 1; and a donation to purchase gifts for the end of year Presentation Day.
In addition to our major Movie Night fundraiser this year, our other fundraising activities have included:
- Easter Raffle and Cake Stall held during the Easter Hat Parade
- State Election Day BBQ
- Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls
- Cake Stall held on Open Day/ Book Week Parade
- BBQ and Canteen sales at the Athletics Carnival
- Drink sales at the Cross Country
- 3 Discos, and
- Canteen sales during Term 1 and Term 4
The P&C also operate the Online Uniform Shop which allows families to purchase new uniforms conveniently and at a competitive price. Through having the P&C operate the uniform shop it means all profits are put back into funding facilities and equipment for our school. We also run the Clothing Pool which allows families access to affordable second hand uniforms.
